It has taken a little more than one year to find that PU.1 is the transcription factor responsible for the differentiation of IL-9-producing CD4 T cells (see also 04/04/2010 and 05/04/2010 previous news entries).
Th9 CD4 T cells are now officially a new subset of helper CD4 T cells!
